How does it work?
You meet at our base in Mill Lane, we give out the gear and bus you to the start. Then we paddle back down river to our base.
Do you have changing rooms ,showers and toilets ?
How long is the trip?
2/2.5 hours and 8 km long. It can be shorter when the river is High.
Do we get our own guide?
Yes, each boat has one of our experienced guides.
Do we get wet?
Yes. And you’ll love it!
How many in a raft?
Maximum 7 clients + 1 guide; minimum 3 people + 1 guide.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48 hours notice for a full refund after that 50% of the cost is retained.
We ask that people have a moderate level of fitness, so that they can be an active member of the raft team.
Does the raft flip/ capsize?
If you want to, we can make it happen. Rafts can capsize for fun, with the help of your guide, but we only do it if you want us to. The river can also flip the raft but this rarely happens. We’ll have given you a full safety intro, so there’s no need to worry.
What do we need to bring?
We have (almost) all the gear you’ll need, so bring shorts/ Swimsuit for under the wetsuit and a TOWEL. For more info, click here
What’s the river flow like?
The water level changes just like our weather. In general, you can have a mild flow in the summer and a faster one in the winter or after heavy rain.
How do we book and pay?
Book and pay online on our website. We have a secure portal for our bookings and use Stripe for our payments.
Rafting.ie reserves the right to refuse a participant take part in the raft trip should it deem it necessary to do so. This includes a participant who does not comply with the safety rules and advice or who is deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
