The Route

The trip begins at our slipway and starts with a short paddle upstream to Palmerstown weir. Climbing the steps adjacent to the weir takes us onto the Calm waters of the Strawberry Beds and a gentle upstream paddle. On our return downstream we pass over Palmerstown weir before continuing back to our base. A surf on wave at the ‘take-out’ is the perfect way to finish up your trip.

What you'll see

This area of the river is full of wildlife. We have regular sightings of heron, kingfishers, swans, otters, mink, deer and even the odd seal all along the first 200m of our Looped trip.
Above Palmerstown weir, the ‘Silver bridge’ looms over the horizon. This bridge links the Farmleigh estate on the North side to Waterstown Park on the South side.
Expert river guides

Our raft guides are all IRF (International Raft Federation) qualified and have countless hours of experience working on the river. Between this and our passion for sharing our love of the river our guests are in safe hands.

The best of equipment

We use the very best of gear from Aqua Design and Palm Equipment to ensure complete comfort and safety for everybody who joins us on the water. Our Rafts are custom made with the River Liffey in mind. Stable, Sturdy and super comfy. Our Wetsuits, Cags, Buoyancy Aids and Helmets help to keep you safe and warm throughout the trip.

Chill at our riverside café

Our base at Mill Lane is a hidden gem. Standing on the banks of the river surrounded by green foliage and the sounds of rushing water it is hard to believe that we are only 7km from the heart of Dublin City. Enjoy a coffee or tea from the Mill Lane Café after your trip or enjoy an authentic stone baked Italian pizza cooked outside. Check out the pizza menu and to preorder please contact us.

Age restrictions

The minimum age for active participants is 12 years old. Active participants are considered to be those who are strong enough to help propel the raft down the river. Younger kids can take part in our trips as non-paddling participants. Our looped trips are suited to families with younger participants as low as 8 years old. Please get in touch for further details.
