Classic Trip

Your adventure kicks off at the Canoe Centre, where we’ll get you geared up with a wetsuit, waterproof jacket, buoyancy aid, and helmet and a quick 10-minute shuttle to Lucan, it’s time to hit the water! With our friendly guides leading the way, you’ll paddle 8km through the beautiful Strawberry Beds. Ride the flow of the river, splash over four weirs, and cruise through gentle rapids – it’s the perfect mix of fun and adventure. After about 3.5 hours of paddling, you’ll end back at the Canoe Centre, where hot showers, changing rooms, and our café await – the perfect way to end a day on the river!

Multi Adventure Experience

Our Multi Adventure Activity combines the enjoyment of Rafting or Kayaking with the unique thrill of Giant SUP (Stand-Up Paddle-boarding). In this two-hour session, you'll have a great time outdoors with family, friends, or groups, creating memories while exploring the water together. It's the perfect way to enjoy some light adventure and make the most of your time outdoors.

Refuel with Delicious Pizza

Worked up an appetite after your time on the water? Treat yourself to a delicious, authentic stone-baked Italian pizza, freshly cooked at the Mill Lane Café. What you'll see
There is an abundance of flora, fauna and local wildlife to be seen along the route. Herons, Kingfishers, Swans, dragonflies, Otters and all types of fish are regularly spotted from onboard our rafts. It’s not all wildlife however, the Liffey Valley is steeped in history. During your trip you will come across Shackleton’s Mills, The Hermitage Estate, Kings Hospital and the Silver Bridge.

Our raft guides are all IRF (International Raft Federation) qualified and have countless hours of experience working on the river. Between this and our passion for sharing our love of the river our guests are in safe hands.

We use the very best of gear from Aqua Design and Palm Equipment to ensure complete comfort and safety for everybody who joins us on the water. Our Rafts are custom made with the River Liffey in mind. Stable, Sturdy and super comfy. Our Wetsuits, Cags, Buoyancy Aids and Helmets help to keep you safe and warm throughout the trip.

Chill at our riverside café

Our base at Mill Lane is a hidden gem. Standing on the banks of the river surrounded by green foliage and the sounds of rushing water it is hard to believe that we are only 7km from the heart of Dublin City. Enjoy a coffee or tea from the Mill Lane Café after your trip. Birthday party? Why not use our outdoor seating area to celebrate and enjoy authentic outdoor cooked stone baked Italian pizzas. Age restrictions

The minimum age for active participants is 11 years old. Active participants are considered to be those who are strong enough to help propel the raft down the river. Younger kids can take part in our trips as non-paddling participants. Please get in touch for further details.

What should I bring?

All you need is swimwear for under your wetsuit, old runners you don’t mind getting wet and a towel to dry off afterwards. You are very welcome to wear your own wetsuit if you prefer.

What's included?

We provide all of the necessary equipment and have full changing facilities, and hot showers at our base in Mill Lane.
