Big adventure, big fun on the River Liffey
Your rafting experience begins at the Canoe Centre, where our team will ensure you're fully equipped for the adventure ahead. We'll provide all necessary gear to keep you safe and comfortable on the water. Once you're ready, a quick 10-minute shuttle will transport you to the starting point of your trip.
With the help of our guide, you will navigate over four weirs through the beautiful Strawberry Beds offering the thrill of adventure, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature and a view of Dublin like no other!.
No previous experience is necessary and people of all fitness levels can enjoy our Rafting activity.After approximately two hours, you'll find yourself back at the Canoe Centre where hot showers, our sauna and café await!

What's included

What do I need to bring
- Towel
- Spare footwear as your feet will get wet (old runners are perfect). Open toe shoes are not permitted.

What you'll see
There is an abundance of flora, fauna and local wildlife to be seen along the route. Herons, Kingfishers, Swans, dragonflies, Otters and all types of fish are regularly spotted from onboard our rafts. It’s not all wildlife however, the Liffey Valley is steeped in history. During your trip you will come across Shackleton’s Mills, The Hermitage Estate, Kings Hospital and the Silver Bridge.
Age restrictions
The minimum age for active participants is 11 years old. Active participants are considered to be those who are strong enough to help propel the raft down the river. Younger kids can take part in our trips as non-paddling participants. Please get in touch for further details.
